Terra Branford was, I respect and like Locke, but Terra's better.

I like Zidane the most because firstly he has the power of an angel of death *since he was made to be one* secondly he is just funny when it comes to girls since really if a guy got the guts to touch Princess Garents butt while getting on an airship while it is taking off and even say "Ohh soft" then man he is gutsy. Also I just like the fact that when he goes into trance you pretty much always going to win.

Man, Terra Brandford is the best main character.

Put Locke out. He wasn't really a main character on the game, Terra was.

Even if you don't get her when the Apocalipse happens, she still appears on the last battle.

I do not see how you all see Terra as the main, Locke had a much more role in the story then her other then her being half esper.

Terra was raw, learning of her Esper-ness, Locke had two love things, Celes had her one love thing, everyone else was kinda floating around.

meh >.> Locke' story was deep tho, first he saved Terra *which he did epicly and in a somewhat funny way* He's best friends with a king, a rebel and then it goes to why he became a treasure hunter, because his love fell ill and stuff so he's trying to find a rare potion. o.o I used him all the time, he was in my party 24/7, cept when I was seperated. *looked everywhere for him*. Terra I never really used lol, main ones I used were Locke, Setzer, Sabin, and Celes. and sometimes Edgar xD *love the tools*

Now change that, Locke may be the one that saved Terra, but also Rikku saved Tidus at the begining and Minwu saved Firion at the beggining but ehy are not main.

Locke may have some part on the story, but for some reason Terra was the half-esper, the story was about her mostly. Even if you didn't used her for much time she was still the main character, even if you don't find her after the apocalipse she appears on the last battle, and the ending is most about her.

Its like Chrono Trigger. The main character died and you don't use him for a quiet long time, but then he is revived and he continue being the main character.

Kefka wanted to use her power to get his hands into the Martial Triad and all of that, she was the center of everything, or almost everything.

In other words, she was the main character. Now change that thing please.

Look, you must put the real main character, and the 2 possibly most main characters in the game are Celes or Terra.

Besides It is what I think, they didn't specify on who is the main character (like in XII) so It was my choice anyway to choose Locke.

In a couple of the Final Fantasy games I actually prefer the sub characters. Some of the main characters are pansies anyways, the real men are the ones that save their skin time and time again.

Like for example, in Final Fantasy XII, Vaan Ratsbane was the main character, but he was a little punk street rat who couldn't defend himself if his chocolate dropping heart depended on it. He wasn't truly safe until a real man, Basch Fon Ronsenburg of Dalmasca, stepped in. lol

XD Yay another Squall Fan! He is the most epic one of them all.

lol Vaan could defend himself perfectly fine without Mr. Basch He did well without him and he has awesome looking Mist attacks. xD he also completes his dream of being a Sky Pirate with Balthier (who is my second fav character)

Vaan wasn't the main character Basch....Basch and Baltheir were the main characters, it was just a story told in the point of view of Vaan....

D: that pretty much makes Vaan the main character, Basch was put in the story pretty much later as a warrior that helps alot and Baltheir was just a kick ass sky pirate to make things 10x's better lol.

Why not much people on this forum appreciate the characters from the old FF? (1-6)

I mean, some of them are really awsome like Terra, Cecil and Bartz.

And Vaan was a good main character on FF XII revenant wings (I liked it!) because it was his story and even Balthier said that he was now the "Main focus in this story" and "The leading man".

But in FF XII he was a supporting character. He stoped being the main character when Ashe revealed her true identity. From there, he just made comentaries and he never did something heroic or something that could be important for the game. he was just there.

For me, balthier was the main.

Also noticed that Cloud is not on your list of characters, Angeal.

Holy crap, I just noticed that! I'm sorry! >< I thought I put Cloud in there, crap! *sigh* oh well, can't change it sadly. But I know what you mean Kaze but Bartz/Cecil and them were I guess not good enough. Although I did like Cecil, he is one of my fav's with his whole light and darkness and Golbez "I am your brother!" thing. He takes things quite well and is very heroic. But its a matter of opinion, its not that the other games are old its just the characters really.

In the only game that you can put that hypothesis, is on FF I, because characters didn't had own story.

Firion was a goof character, the Onion Knight... well... never played the original one so I can't say. Cecil might be one of the greatest characters in story, better than Cloud, Squall and Zidane. Bartz was great and Terra was the best.

I think that the games are not popular because they weren't really famous until FF VII came out, and people started to follow the games from there.
