(Been working on this for a while, had to finally get her to SPEAK in game so I'd know the words.)

Name: Esuna

Description & Effect: Yuna hold her hands in a crossed position and then waves her right hand (the one holding whichever weapon she's got equipped) towards her target, causing them to shine brightly for a moment. "Light shine strong; our woe begone!" When the light fades, so do any impairments to their status such as Poison or Blind.

AP/MP Cost: 20 MP

Class: Support

Element: Light

Range: Long

Effect: Removes negative status effects from target (Does not affect story-based statuses such as Geostigma or Mako Poisoning)

Duration: Single Post

Kuja, Esuna has NEVER been able to counter stuff like Geostigma or Mako Poisoning. But it can clear up anything less than that.

But yeah, if it's available to anyone to inflict, then Esuna can clear it up for 20.

If it's a special, horrific status that usually has a whole story revolving around it ... then Esuna's not going to help. Nothing's going to help other than specific cures that are usually linked to places like Midgar's Old Church or Crescent Lake on Cornelia.

But I can edit in the distinction, if that'd help.

Firstly no need to go all large letters on me Yuna, we got some people who don't play FF that much so might not know this. So yes edit the extra stuff into the thing to make sure people know for sure what is and isn't going to be cured by this.

I apologize for the all-caps. Sometimes I forget that I can simply bold words for emphasis.

Edit made to indicate that the really bad ones aren't affected by Esuna. I phrased it as "story-based" because in FFIV, at least, Esuna was shown in a cutscene to be unable to reverse a Petrification on a pair of mages. Granted, the Petrification was for story purposes and was a voluntary sacrifice by the twins *and* they were later cured by other means.

So if someone has a story they want to build around a status effect then yeah, they can choose to turn down the curative powers of Esuna.
