Brainstorming

So who thinks they might have awesome advertising ideas to get activity up? Let's brainstorm people! I've got a few tricks up my sleeve, but a few isn't going to get the entire job done--so I'd like a little site participation of you guys can.

To be honest, I don't really know how to locate likely role players anymore.

I've got a secondary Photobucket account where I keep pictures that are for public viewing, and on some of them I've got the address for here listed. Not real sure what good it's doing, but at least it's out there...

I've got a link to here on the front page of my personal website that I use for my original fiction...

It's not like I can make videos or anything...

I'm doing pretty much what I can as it is.

Some days I wish I could actually make videos or animate stuff... but not only do I not have the programs... I don't have the skill or the knowledge...

Fanfiction.net doesn't allow webadresses leading to anything off their own site in ANY messages going through their system, so I can't even include the address in a blurb at the end of a legitimate story there.

There's a directory site... The Shoebox - http://templeshoebox.proboards.com/ I advertise my RP site there... if you're willing to put up the reciprocal icon link in the Affiliates widget then you might be able to put up an advert there as well. It's a matter of reading the rules for posting an advert.

During my searches, I've found where some sites are allowing free advertising. True, you have to register to do so, but not actually fill out a character, be active, etc. like it used to be.

The only stipulation is that if you advertise in their sites, you in turn place their site in our Advertisement section. The same would go for anyone who advertises in here. Either they do the same favor for our site, or I go in and slap our Ad in theirs >>

As for the linkback thingies or icon link in the Affiliates widget stuff, I've seen that deal on proboards, and some forumsmotion sites, but i have no idea how that arrangement works. I assume its pretty much the same deal, but with fancier terminology -.-

I'd say since this site is forumsmotion related, then I'd stick to advertising to those forms of sites.

I'm willing to that part if an Ad can be provided ^^

Xavier--I might can help you, I have Sony VEGAS Pro, the most recent edition can't remember the number--and it pwns anything Adobe has. Though, I'm not at liberty to speak out in the open about it...but I was actually going to make a video advert myself at some point when I had the time. But any help you could offer would be accepted.

Any sites you guys are already on, throw up a link in your profile WEBSITE section to this site if you don't already have something else there and drop a link in their Advertising section if they allow it.

Well I do know of two places full of people that Role play from time to time, but the issue is umm..............well these people are on forum programs that allow them to do sexual things. And sadly enough they normally go in that direction, so I have been holding back the urge to post a link due to that. Since no sure how happy you all would be with having sexual role players running around. *though by all means they can do a pretty good fighting scene or talk scene, just it tends to go into the sexual direction sooner or later.*

well i dont have the original footage anymore for the video but i do have the final product.... though it may not be the BEST video of the genre, it got me a B+ at school XD.
