Fighting Style: Lightning is a very aggressive fighter from the start. She is the type of person that is the first to strike in a battle and won’t quite until either her or her opponent is dead. She utilizes Gunblades and pools energy from within as a source of magic from her previous life. She is a very balanced fighter—using acrobatic Sword Techniques, mixed with magic spells—with some martial arts hand-to-hand combat.

Affinities: Lightning’s foremost impressive trait is her ability to do acrobatic, martial arts-like feats. She is very quick and agile—nimble and flexible. She carries around a tiny Gravity Control device that is attached to her finger—so when she snaps, Gravity is not an issue when it comes to acrobatics. Her spell casting is unique in that she has powerful and rare spell capabilities—that she often does not even use.

Bad Qualities: Lightning has a problem with talking and opening up to people. Her opposing elements are a minor weakness to her. Because of her unparalleled speed—she suffers a minor setback to overall Physical Strength, but her weapon is very sharp, and no matter how strong or weak, a fast projectile still has catastrophic effect.

Personality: Lightning is very determined, concentrated, and independent. Initially, she is extremely cold and stand-offish to the others she encounters, no matter who it is. Her early solution to things that annoy or upset her is to distance herself, either emotionally or physically. However, although seemingly cold-hearted, Lightning also has a compassionate side. When she does eventually warm up or get to know someone she can become a powerful ally and friend surpassed by none. She is usually quiet nonetheless and can spend hours staring off into the distant sky, deep in thought. Her true intentions in a situation are almost never implied nor guessed—as she always manages to surprise.

Appearance: Lightning is a fit young woman with long, light pink hair, pale aqua-colored eyes, and a heart-shaped face. She wears a uniform for the Guardian Corps, based around a sleeveless white overcoat over a brown turtleneck-like shirt and green metallic pauldron with yellow stripes symbolizing her rank as a sergeant. Notably, she also wears a red cape attached to her back on the left side, a long black sleeve over her left arm, knee-high leather boots, and a brown mini-skirt over high-topped black shorts. Her gunblade is carried behind her in a black case which hangs off her belt, along with a red pack strapped to her left leg. In addition, she also has a necklace with a lightning bolt pendant, two black bands around her right bicep, and a silver navel piercing. Her l'Cie brand is located on the upper left of her chest. Her new addition as leader of Ivalice, is a black cloak with a hood that she can sometimes be found wearing to hide her identity as there are many who would seek to attack her.

After saving the World of Cocoon from its demise at the hands of the evil Fal’Cie Barthandelus, Lightning left her sister and the others. She had seen all this world has had to offer and she would allow her sister to become married and wanted them to be happy. She left the very next day after she was reunited with her sister, early in the morning—without saying Goodbye to anyone. She roamed the various realms and other worlds for awhile, looking for herself—trying to decide what to do with her life.
She finally came upon the World of Ivalice one day,into the Imperial City of Archades. Having had experience in the military and warfare in her previous life, she enlisted as fighting was all she had ever known. She quickly gained notice and reputation thought out the ranks and rose quickly in prestige. It wasn’t long before she directly overseen the Private & Secret Protection of his Lord Sovereign Lightning himself. After years of training her himself, he announced her to take his place while he went into Permanent meditation into the heavens, never dying—but not living. She accepted the position and leadership role of this world as the new Lady Light, supreme Judge of Ivalice. Lightning spread out his wings and ascended into the heavens, and was never seen again, his only mark he put on her, was a frozen L’Cie brand, granting her immortality to the means of never aging. As long as she remained in good health, she would live forever as he had.

To this day, Lightning rules over the lands of Ivalice and directly oversees the Empire it controls.
