High Summoner Yevon
| Subject: Dekoichi, the Doom-breaking Engine December 1st 2008, 3:30 pm | |
| Name: Dekoichi, the Doom-breaking Engine. Often shortened to Dekoichi.
Owner: Yu Yevon
Crew:
Enchanted Machine: Dekoichi
Conductor: Yu Yevon
Fireman, Engineer, Cabman, Breakman, Porter, Chef, and fourteen Guards: All members of a race of fiend called "Skelfos".
Any number of passengers, maximum of
Effect:
Break Down the Walls: Dekoichi has the ability to pierce the timespace continum and enter the World of Illusion. From there, he may enter any world at any point, provided he can fit.
Infinite Cornucopia: The Dining Car of Dekoichi has an unlimited supply of food, and any type of food you can imagine.
Smooth Ride: Even if Dekoichi takes a severe impact, he has the ability to cancel out the shock to the point that all within him have no idea they've taken a hit.
Summon Skyrail: In order to traverse terrain impossible for an engine, Dekoichi can project paralell winding beams of light to ride between, similar to the fireball tracks which guide Doomtrain.
Description: Dekoichi is often mistaken for the summoned creature Doomtrain. While it IS in fact a living creature, it has more in common with Sin than it does Doomtrain. The main engine, designed to look like an old fashioned steam engine, has a core in its boiler, and it is this core that allows Dekoichi to keep its form. Directly behind the engine is a large tender, containing many multicolored spheres. They resemble Materia, but are in fact petrified Pyreflies. They are pulled from the farplane, and drained of their energy when shoveled into Dekoichi's core. However, once the drain is complete, they are returned to the farplane to recharge. As such, Dekoichi has no worry of fuel. Ten cars trail behind the tender. The first two are Luggage cars, used to carry... Well, luggage. The Third is a Pantry, which serves the next car, the Kitchen. The next three are Passenger cars, and the last three are sleepers. Behind this is a largely open Observation car, and trailing it all is a small cabin car, commonly called a caboose. Weapons: With the exception of Yu Yevon and the Chef, all the crew members have quick access to high-powered Mystic Rifles, which shoot powerful blasts of magical energy. Dekoichi itself also has several defenses: A sonic whistle, powerful steam jets, a pivoting, front-mounted laser, and a large cowcather that serves as a very potent battering ram.
History: Dekoichi has always been a faitlful companion of Yevon ever since his creation. Because of his method of construction, it is safe (and correct) to assume that he was a sort of prototype for the Living Armor, Sin. Serving as a transport for Yevon, Dekoichi has pulled many duties, most commonly diplomatic appearances, in which its cast-iron sides were painted dark crimson to signify his diplomatic nature. Normally, however, he and the cars that trail him are cast of high-strength steel, adorned with gold decorations. The gold has been treated so that it cannon hold a coat of paint, and the acid wash look of the black steel shows that it has been painted, had said paint removed, and painted again. Dekoichi is ready, willing, and able to serve Yevon again... All that's needed is the call from its master. This call is the form of a small conductor's whitle that Yevon carries.
(Because, REALLY, is someone who created the likes of Sin going to have a normal airship?) | |
