High Summoner Yevon
| Subject: Xerxes December 3rd 2008, 10:53 am | |
| Name: Xerxes
Race: Unknown: Spiritual nature points to Xerxes being a Fayth...
Age: 1000+ years
Element: Holy, Lightning, Earth
Personality: Since it IS a living stone, Xerxes has no personality. It follows Yevon around in a compressed state, released by Yevon with the command "Defend! I summon you! Xerxes!"
Fighting Style: Xerxes, having no physical manifestations to attack with, is largely driven by Magic. It has no MP of its own to cast with, so it must borrow from Yevon, or use its special ability.
Special Ability: Tri-Mana Eater: Xerxes senses all Holy, Lightning, and Earth spells target toward Yevon, and moves to intercept them. Once it does this succesfuly, it gains MP equal to half the cost of the spell. If, however, Xerses is hit with a Dark, Ice, or Wind spell, it will LOSE MP equal to half the cost of the spell. (If the attack is launched by a summon, the MP Gain/Loss is 10 MP, unless it is the summon's ultimate technique, in which case, the MP Gain/Loss is equal to half the cost of the summon.) Once it has the MP, it can cast one of a few spells...
Spark: 50 MP: A powerful Lightning-based spell Xerxes uses against Yevon's enemies, by calling down a large thunderbolt to strike them.
Fissure: 50 MP: An Earth-based spell equal in power to Spark, Fissure causes the ground to erupt with stone spires in a straight line toward the enemy.
Shine: 50 MP: Equal in power to Fissure, Shine is a Holy-elemental attack which fires a beam of multicolored light at the opponent.
Cure/Cura/Curaga: 10/40/80 MP: An obvious technique, the Cure series is used to heal. Xerxes knows several variants, to accomodate for fluctuating MP levels.
Wall: 80 MP: grants one page of magical protection against physical and magic attacks. (Protect + Shell)
Description: Xerxes is composed of tewlve carved stones. When active, each segment is spinning. It can be rendered inactive by a Holy, Ice, or Wind spell of 50 MP, a Fire or Water spell over 100 MP, or a Dark, Ligthning, or Earth Spell of over 200 MP. Once rendered inactive, ten posts must pass before it becomes active again. Each stone segment is carved with ancient runes, reminiscent of the old runic language whic predates even the Machina War. The stone itself is bound to the will of the one who commands it, and, to make certain this cannot be changed, Xerxes imprints the mana signature of its master into itself.
History: Xerxes is the remnant of the Yu Pagodas that long served those within the hgihest echelons of power who were tied to Yevon. This particular pagoda is the remnant of the pagodas thought lost within Sin. Each segment joined, becoming one, the two became one:Xerxes. None are sure HOW a pagoda is created, however, their nature is believed to be similar to a Fayth.

| Uhh Seph that wall thing is kinda well strong.....for an entire page of post Yevon can't be hurt?? That is a bit well strong as hell, then the fact that the guy could just redirect spells to his pet with it's speical power when ever he wants doesn't seem fair either. | |

| ??? No, you misunderstand... First off, Wall is basically Shell and Barrier cast on top of eachother. And it's not invulnerability. Just standard protection like Barrier and Shell provide. This just lasts longer. And, I must have miswrote. Xerxes doesn't act like a spell magnet. He's designed to detect and attempt to intercept all Holy, Lightning and Earth spells. I guess I should re-word that, then. | |

| Ya please. Sorry just from the way it was worded it seemed like that way to me, also in the wall thing just say it cast barrier and shell on you as everyone knows what those things are. Just do that and I say this thing is ok. | |
