Description & Effect:
All the wind in the area races towards Hunter’s location and spins around him getting faster and faster. It continues to do this, taking only a few seconds, until a ten foot tornado takes form around him. This leaves Hunter in the center, also referred to as ‘the eye of the storm’, and when he walks, it moves with him. With the twister surrounding him spinning at incredible speeds, it’s impossible for Hunter to be struck physically by any normal weapon. Any attempt would either deflect the weapon away or, if it is particularly lightweight, simply pull it into the swirling wind. Some spells can penetrate the wind’s defensive capabilities but spells like a Fire(ra) and Thunder(ra) would be blown out or deflected. But more powerful spells, such as Comet, could easily power its way past the defensive tornado.
History:
Hunter really wanted, and pretty much needed, a protective wind ability to defend him from attacks. And when he came up with this, he wasn’t really in a creative mood. This meant that he just adjusted his previous spell, Twister, into a defensive move instead inventing a unique defense spell. Although it was originally a tornado meant for attack, it’s defensive capabilities are pretty good. This particular tornado is a little bigger than his offensive ones for obvious reasons; the bigger it is the stronger it is for one. But Hunter wasn’t going to go over the top and make a huge twister for this job; it would be too magic costly, so this was what he thought to be the perfect size to cost ratio for what he needed.
