Name: Pinwheel (1st model of the Blaster Edge)
Type: Boomerang
Element: Lightning
Effect: There is an ability that has always been overlooked that simply aggravates me. Because this weapon acts such as a boomerang does, an opponent must keep in mind of the obvious fact that boomerang’s revert back close to the same path it was ejected from. Should one so choose to dodge, then be aware of the direction you take. It is highly probable that one will be struck in the back. Now if the Pinwheel is first physically blocked by the opponent, it will simply return to the stock, even if it's projected path has been knocked off course. Should it be knocked to the ground, the Pinwheel will still return to the stock as well.
Range: Long
Appearance: I must say, I am rather disappointed in the acknowledgement of my weapon. It is by far more advanced than a simple “boomerang” and those who have written about it give it very little credit. So, allow me to enlighten all of you.
First of all, the ejecting portion of the Pinwheel is classified as a “lathe”, or “prod”. This particular model is made of light weight steel approximately 2lbs 7oz and roughly 24 inches by 20 inches in radius for smooth precision and speed. It is silver and slate blue in color, and the particular form of this section is deadly in design. It’s much like a diamond in shape, but on two ends, the lathe extends 7 more inches into two sharp blades.
The section of the Pinwheel that attaches to my arm is called the “stock”, where thick nylon straps are wrapped around my arm and secured by belt latches.
And yes, the Pinwheel is a boomerang-like weapon that propels from the stock to cause injury to any opponent and return to its holster. Now I will admit, the recoil is a bit difficult for me to master. Each time I use the weapon, I find myself taking a step or two back from it's force of ejection.
