Description: She wears the katana on her back. A medium length katana. Like most katana it has a black hilt and a rectangular guard. The sheath is black and has a string hanging from the top.
History: Rukia was exploring the Lhusu Mines while visiting a friend in Ivalice when she ran into Gilgamesh. He said he was looking for the legendary Masamune. She challenged Gilgamesh to a fight and lost by a long shot. Afterwards she asked Gilgamesh to take her up as an apprentice. After intense training Rukia made a wager with Gilgamesh. If she could now beat him that he would give her his prized Genji Equipment plus his faithful dog Enkidu. After three days of fighting, both fighters being greatly battle torn Rukia got the upper hand for a couple of seconds and won the battle. He gave her the Equipment, but because of the dogs faithfulness he could give it up. Rukia left with the Genji equipment and never saw Gilgamesh again.
