| Name: Rafiel
Type: One handed longsword
Element: N/A
Effect: Cannot stab, but blade is invisible. Cuts very well despite the lack of stabbing.
Range: Short ranged. (melee combat, blade length 2.5 ft.)
Appearance: The handle is 7 in. long and dark purple with a gem in the center of the cross guard. Blade is invisible, very hard to describe, as a result of invisibility.
Note: More effects/details may be added as I get the weapon upgraded, I have many good Ideas for the trickster blade.....If this is a problem, please inform me and I will remove this section.

| Although the armor being invisible at any time was an approved free effect, for the sword, it would have to be a spell for the weapon since it's used Offensively against others. https://ffrequiem.darkbb.com/t1199-spell-list-and-building-a-spell <--- that's the link to our canon spell list. Vanish is under the "Status" section. A spell for any weapon would be posted in the Spell section as its own And I don't quite understand how a sword can't stab, but it can cut? | |

| It cannot stab because it has a blunted tip if you were ever able to see it, i'll get to work on that spell thing right away. | |

| Okay, well with the current template, if would, edit that into the description.
Also edit the invisible statement to "when invisibility is activated by spell" or however you wish to word it, so it's clear that the weapon doesn't have the effect automatically or all the time.
That should clear things up so we can get this approved

| Quick question, would it be possible to "enchant" the weapon to the point of having that active all the time? Because this sword is from another character I have in a paper and pencil roleplaying game, and the main reason why it was the trickster sword is because it was always invisible. If not then whatever, I can deal with it ^^ | |

| You can make enchanted as such yes, but the spell lists that it only lasts for 20 AP for 2 posts.
So to keep it "Vanished" for the duration of a thread would mean you would have to continue automatically deducting the AP (or MP as some use the term) for the sword to stay invisible for as long as a fight would last.
And if you run out of AP before the fight is over, the sword would reappear.

| I see, well i suppose i only need it to get the initial advantage, since the enemy wouldn't see the sword coming i suppose. | |

| If i were to create my own spell would it be possible to increase the duration, but at the same time make it affect only the blade, and instead of making it vanish, just make it take on a ghostly appearance? Or if not, then instead of making it invisible, would it be possible to use some sort of illusion magic to make it appear shorter or even longer then it really is? | |

| Okay darlin, I checked the Panel as well as your Profile information and everything checks out fine. So asked a fellow Admin what the problem may be, and he suggested it may be your computer.... possibly not accepting the chatbox program, or an update is needed on your end. I'm not sure.... But I can pretty much guarantee that when Lightning reads this, well that's just the absolute SMARTEST person I know and will let you know what exactly the problem may be SO! I'll just continue to help this way as best I can! ^^ Now back to your last question... If i were to create my own spell would it be possible to increase the duration, but at the same time make it affect only the blade, and instead of making it vanish, just make it take on a ghostly appearance? Or if not, then instead of making it invisible, would it be possible to use some sort of illusion magic to make it appear shorter or even longer then it really is?Yes, this would be a custom spell you can alternate any way you like for the effect you want, so long as a proper amount of AP is paid for it. You already have the "Vanish" spell as a foundation of what kind of cost would be required to get you started on a cost idea. Longer duration would require additional AP, but no more needs to be paid for the effect since its the same as Vanish Does that help? | |

| Yes, it helps alot. Now the illusion part of my question, making the sword appear smaller or larger, would that work? | |

| Yep! You may even state that's also part of the same spell, IF it's the "ghostly" appearance one you suggested. Pretty much being ghosty-like and shifting appearance goes hand in hand ^^ | |

| And if i create it as a spell i could use it on multiple things....im not sure what element that would be though. | |

| It's a "status" spell, not elemental, so you're good there. ^^
If you wish to use the spell as an illusion to multiple things, then I'd suggest making it a general spell, rather than specifically a "weapon spell". Then explain in the effect or description sections what all the spell can effect and how.

| If you can't see the chatbox if could be an incompatibility with the Web Browser you are using (IE needs an update or add-on problems; I'm currently using Firefox 4/Google Chrome.)
OR
You need a Java/Flash update.
