Final Fantasy :: Requiem Of Shadows

Music is but a thought--a voice that cannot speak, yet refuses to remain silent. This is Final Fantasy. Can you hear it? It comes from the Shadows--A Requiem.

Name: Bushido

Description & Effect: Isaac draws his weapon, and assumes the Kendo starting stance. With the word "Bushido", the spell is activated. His red blood cells carry more oxygen, his pupils dialate, his muscles tense. His nerve cells are temporarily numbed by the massive amounts of dopamine his body produces. (In layman's terms, improvement to Speed and Agility, as well as the aforementioned Anhidrosis.) This effect lasts all of seven of his posts.

AP/MP Cost: 60

Class: Defensive, I think?

Element: Non-Elemental.

Range: Self.

Effect: Via rigorous training, the samurai has improved reflexes, as well as a numbed sense of touch.

Duration: Seven of Isaac's posts.

Okay, I need more detail on the Description section. What does it look like when he's casting the spell? What does he do when he activates it?

It has to have an MP cost, it's a Spell.

I need an Element, even if it's Non-Elemental.

I need a Range, even if it's Self Only.

I need a duration. No spell can last longer than 7 posts.

BUT, you might be able to make this as an Enchantment, if that's your wish.

It's passive... As in constantly active for the entire duration of ever. Does that really need to be an enchantment...?

I must admit, that's moderately dissapointing... I'll edit this in the near future.

Being that you posted this as a Spell, it HAS to have a cost. No spell is 0 MP. That's why Yuna was suggesting enchantment because MOST passive enchantments are of no cost. That, and you don't loose a spell slot.

Just forewarning though, just because the user won't feel pain, that won't mean the damage taken will be any less O.o If you don't feel any pain, that's a set up for bleeding out. So be careful >>

I'm well aware. Similarly to Pyotir's anhidrosis. Besides, name a samurai who would admit to feeling pain.

Blegh. You suggest the pricing. I don't feel like wasting an enchantment on this.

Well, considering it would be taking on a status effect, you'd likely be looking at . . . at least 20 MP just for the 7 posts of duration since it IS a dangerous status effect, a dual buff/debuff so to speak.

And the reason we were suggesting the enchantment is that it could be in your best interests to have it as one, but if you want it as a spell, these are the requirements for it.

At least 20 MP per cast, 7 post duration, self-only (if that's your wish), and I need more detail in the Description section.

Edited, also added a bit more and upped the price from your suggestion.

(Figured I would get a good bit more out of it, y'know?)

Okay, description is good. Might as well gain more out of the spell since you're going for a spell with this ...

Thing is, the single-stat buffs like Protect and Shell are 30 MP while the double stat buffs like Faith are 40 MP...

So if you want to boost one stat, then this would be sufficient.

If you want to boost two, as you have written, then it needs to be 60 MP.

But as far as a concept, it works.
