Sephiroth

A legendary SOILDER member during the days when Shinra was in its days of glory, he was also considered a villain of the most diabolical kind. Not knowing he was the son of Lucrecia Crescent and Hojo, the believed only that JENOVA was his mother. After the war with Wutai, he gained worldwide fame as a hero. He had become an idol to children’s of Midgar and his fellow colleges, getting the most attention from the media.

During his time in SOILDER, he had only two friends, Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos. Although, they three rival each other as SOLDIERs First Class, they saw each other as close friends. After the battle in virtual reality Junon with Genesis, Genesis was hurt yet his wound could not be healed. At the end, Genesis defected from Shinra which makes him very uneasy about it.

His final mission was to inspect the Mako Reactor outside of Nibelheim, and there at the reactor he found pod-like chambers containing monstrous beings, apparently former humans. Deeper inside, he found a larger chamber labeled JENOVA, which contained a very bizarre feminine-looking creature. After Zack suggested the connection between SOLDIER and the creatures in the chambers, he went into rage. Sephiroth then went to burn down Nibelheim to the ground, taking JENOVA’s head away but was stopped by Cloud and Zack.

Time passed normally as the thought dead, Sephiroth returned to destroy the world using the black materia which could summon the ultimate black magic, Meteor. Using Jenova’s remains to take his form, he broke out of containment and released Cloud and the members of AVALANCHE who were held prisoner and finally killing President Shinra. Sephiroth then proceeded to get the Black Materia at the temple of the Ancients. Although Cloud gains the black materia first, Sephiroth exerts his influence over Jenova’s cells and takes control of Cloud, who hands the Materia over to him.

Aerith Gainsborough who was the last true Cetra tried to use the White Materia given to her by her mother to summon Holy, the only power to counter Meteor but as during her attempt to cast it, Sephiroth came from above and stabbed her. Aerith managed to cast Holy but it was held back within the Planet by Sephiroth, preventing it from moving with his will as augmented by Jenova’s power.

At the Northern Crater, Cloud managed to kill Jenova in the form of Sephiroth, thus reclaiming the Black Materia but yet again he was outdone by Sephiroth’s will and gave the Black Materia to him. Sephiroth then unleashes the weapons from their sleep and erects an energy barrio over the crater to keep them from detecting him. Descending into the crator, Cloud and the others eventually find Sephiroth at the planet’s core, blocking Holy from stopping Meteor as it began its impact. After Cloud’s team defeated, Bizarro-Sephiroth, his ultimate form emerges into an angelic being with seven wings. Sephiroth was destroyed but yet he tried to control Cloud’s mind. Alas he failed, battered and bloody, he dissolved into the lifestream, seemingly destroyed.

After two years, prior to his death, a fatal plague called Geostigma spread throughout the world. Using the souls of the people that died from Geostigma, Sephiroth weakens the lifestreams power. Meanwhile, Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo being controlled by Sephiroth, searched for Jenova. Kadaj being the vessel of Sephiroth after absorbing the contents of the case, transform himself into Sephiroth. Cloud then battles him again using his Omnislash Version 5 move but utilizing his new set of swords. Sephiroth defeated by the move, remains floating on the air as his single black wing appears. “I will.. never be a memory” being his last words, thus using his wing to wrap around him, he disappears revealing Kadaj’s body which is then accepted into the Lifestream as his body and soul “evaporate” into the falling rain, Aerith’s Geat Gospel.

Years has passed since Sephiroth’s last return to the world using Kadaj as a vessel to again destroy the world but it was again thwarted by Cloud. It felt as if it was a countless millennia for Sephiroth’s though, this time he resurrected himself by using a teenage boy who was in Shinra’s hands somewhere in the North. Thus he returns to a world no longer known by him but part of it was still the same except for the airships that were flying in and out of Midgar and Midgar being again a city of great glory. Shinra was also back on their feet as well. Although not really fully accustomed with the current affairs of the world, he continues on towards his goal. Sephiroth made a note to Cloud that he will never became a memory when Cloud defeated him during the battle atop of the Shinra building. Now he returns to settle the score and bring the world and Cloud to its knees.
