Effect:
1: Extend~ This weapon's main feature is its ability break into segments held together by 1cm thick bungee cord. This gives it a whip-like structure. This whip can extend to about 15 feet long when used properly. Such extension is dangerous though, so it can only be between 7 to 15 feet long for one post. The segments are double edged, making them dangerous to control over long distances. This ability comes with the ability to retract to a normal sword.

2: Scatter~ The segments, with a certain button's push, can slide off the cord. The cord can detach as well with a different button. When this happens, the blades are useless without the use of spells. However, that is the point.

Range: Short Range Normal, Medium Range Whip

Appearance: The hilt is gold, with green designs on it, with an emerald on the center point of the hand guard. The blade itself is about 3 feet long. When it becomes a whip blade, it generally stays at 5 feet and sits on the ground at his side. The cord is brown in color, and quite hard to cut. See the picture for exact details.

so this sword is dangerous for you to use yourself?

Yeah, well sorta. It it most dangerous when it is in full swing. But if it misses, there is a possibility that it could come around and nick Kiyuki.

I have only one issue.......that is the weapon picture a certain female Soul Calibur girl uses........actually that is her signature weapon -.0. Just change the image to something less rip off-ish. If I can find different versions of a gunblade other than the ones Squall uses then I am sure you can find different images for whip swords.

*like I said the weapon type and what not is ok, just no ripping off the look from other canon characters of other games*

Well, I found different variations of it, but unfortunately none of them had the same function. So, I found a design that Soul Caliber has no rights to.
